Welcome to the Wadadli Short Film Festival

The Wadadli Short Film Festival aims to showcase and cultivate filmmakers who originate from Antigua & Barbuda, whilst attracting a diverse mix of filmmakers within the region and those heralding from the Caribbean diaspora.

This festival, the first of its kind aims to create a platform for independent filmmakers operating in Antigua & barbuda and the OECS; actively encouraging the involvement of more women and those with disabilities whose stories deserve equal representation.

Our ultimate goal is to work in collaboration with those at the forefront of Film on the twin island state to raise awareness and inspire the next generation of local, regional and international creative filmmakers.

The people of Antigua & Barbuda have a historical link to oratory excellence, passed down through the generations, where tales of a proud history is shared in vivid and imaginative ways.

The breath-taking tropical scenery, friendly people and natural charm of the island, together with the unique fact that Antigua & Barbuda has one beach for every day of the year, means this is the perfect backdrop to promote this exciting new cultural event.

Honourable Prime Minister, Gaston Browne

"Wishing the Team all the best with the inaugural launch of the Wadadli Short Film Festival"
